Gram vs. Kurt

The war continues since the video I posted last week where porn star Kurt Lockwood assaults Gram Ponante on set, confronting him about calling him a "faggot" in his column.

Ponante said he did no such thing, though many other porn gossip sites certainly have.

Speaking at the XBiz Political Action Conference on Friday, Gram Ponante was quoted as saying: "I was going to have a few comments on Kurt Lockwood, but it turns out you have to go into rehab if you use the word 'faggot,' so I -- so kind of an impasse, can't really talk about Lockwood."

Since the incident, an article has surfaced claiming Ponante was released from his duties as writer for AVN, Hustler Magazine and Adam Film World. Hustler editor Bruce David is quoted as saying, "We will not continue to publish the columns of someone who uses other people as a punch line to get a cheap laugh and who so freely uses an offensive term to describe another human being."

Hmm... How about continuing to publish the content of someone who uses other people as a punching BAG?

Ponante has now gone to the police in regards to the assault and it is rumored that they are looking to speak with or have already met with Lockwood.

In a statement made yesterday, Lockwood mentioned nothing about police but claimed he has had the busiest work week of his year and thanked Ponante for it.

It has also been rumored that the morning of the assault, Lockwood was informed that his forthcoming epic, The Real Boogie Nights, would not be released because it borrowed too much from the Paul Thomas Anderson film.

OMG! It's my first time commenting! Long time reader, first time commenter. I'll take my answer off the air.

Hi Jason, It is I, Gram.

I want you and your readers to be clear on the fact that the Luke Ford story regarding the non-existent XBiz Political Action Conference, and all the attendant quotes attributed to me, as well as the report that I have been dropped from any of my gigs, is false. Luke admitted these things were a fabrication and believed them to be "a joke".

Needless to say, I normally love me some jokes, but not with an issue so serious. Mr. Ford has printed a retraction (but the offending - and offensive - stories are still up).

I have been doing damage control over this story for almost a week.

While it is tragic - and always has been - when a person is ridiculed for his or her sexuality, I was not the person who called the performer in question that name.

Yours,

Gram
