Reminders!

I will be out of town without much access to my computer for the rest of the week. The site will continue with regular updates, but the blogs will return to daily on Monday. In the meantime, some reminders from our department of self-promotion... and it is truly an entire "department" this week.

THIS SATURDAY: I'll be attending The Second Annual Columbus History Day at the soon to be torn down Commons in my home town of Columbus, Indiana. My father will be peforming a concert live there in the afternoon so if you happen to be anywhere near the vicinity, come out and see it! Actually, a photo of me on stage at The Commons was the first time I was ever on the cover of a magazine/newspaper. I was five. ;-)

THIS SUNDAY: I'll be moderating a panel at The Queer Media Conference in Los Angeles, California from 2:15 pm - 3:30 pm featuring Brent Corrigan, Eddie Stone, David Forest, Chad Donovan and Brandon Baker. THIS MONDAY: I'll be performing stand-up at Howl at the Moon on Universal Citywalk in Los Angeles, California at 9:00 pm. I'll have a table full of my friends, family and readers so if you'd like to attend, please email jason@jasonsechrest.com and I will look for you there!

ALSO THIS WEEK: The special edition re-release of the Madonna & Sean Penn vehicle from the 1980's, Shanghai Surprise, is now available on DVD, including feature-length audio commentary by your's truly! Why? I'm not sure. I am not expert on the movie. I was six years old when it came out I think. But since no one even remotely involved in the making of the film wanted to have anything to do with the DVD release, they hired the funny gay to lend his comic commentary to the feature. And let's face it, if you give me 25 bucks and a cracker and it's anywhere near remotely mainstream, I am there for the job.
