Wicked Pictures' "Melt"

I usually love everything from Wicked Pictures but Melt falls short on account of its trying too damned hard to be something other than a porno. And hell, I hate saying that because I love movies that strive to be more than porn actually, but it's just not working here. Without great acting, a great script and in this case much needed special effects, you've got nothing more than a B-movie that's trying painfully hard for dramatic moments.

Julia Ann makes the most of her role and her sex scenes steal the show, one giving Barrett Blade head and another with Randy Spears (such a good actor, he really does make the most of his role too) that is so darkly lit you barely see any of the penetration, but that is par for the course with most Wicked movies these days. Maybe they're trying for softcore? Maybe they wanted it to be a B-movie after all. Who knows?

The only sex scene that cuts the mustard is Eva Angelina's romp with Marcus London. It's perfectly lit and they've got the performance chops to turn out one helluva fuck fest while others are poorly directed and lack the intensity or at the very least experience that someone like Ann can bring to her scenes that at least make them watchable.

Overall, chaotic, overly ambitious and under achieving.

Melt also stars Justine Jolie, Lindsey Meadows, Mikayla, Paolo Rey and Evan Stone.
