Wicked Pictures' "Time After Time"

I have loved almost everything Wicked Pictures put out in 2007, so I can be forgiven for this one.

Most of my readers here and my viewers on The Jason Sechrest Show are no doubt sick to death of hearing me rave about all the great movies the company released last year. Those who are will be pleased to hear that I'm not all rose-colored goggles when it comes to the studio. At least, not when it comes to director Francois Clousot's movie, Time After Time.

Time After Time was released around the same time as Clousot's vignette piece, Reflexxxions, starring Julia Ann, which was an utter piece of brilliance both in terms of art and pornography. But for some reason, this pairing of the star and director just doesn't cut the mustard.

The story (a love story about a time machine, but not an erotic time machine which would've made a nice sex comedy) drags. The sex is less than spectacular. And while Clousot still captures penetration better than any other director at Wicked, he's still just not on top of his game here. Real life couple Barrett Blade and Kirsten Price actually make the best moments of the movie -- in their respective scenes with other partners interestingly enough. Blade bangs the hell out of Brooke Banner while Eric Masterson takes on a screaming and writing Price.

Julia Ann and Mindy Main each have a scene with Randy Spears too that are practically like filler.

Really, If you're looking for a good Julia Ann movie directed by Clousot in the final year of her career, Reflexxxions wins out over Time After Time any day.
