We have already discussed this quite thoroughly on Brent's blog but I guess it doesn't hurt to reinforce the concept.
If you are butt ugly, metal and tattoos are not going to improve on that. If you are 'gifted' with good looks, such stuff will only detract from the natural beauty you already have.
I was vote number four and all votes to that point were against the piercing. That was about 9:15 central on 12 March.
