Adam & Eve's "Not Another Porn Movie"

The problem with performer/director Joanna Angel's sex comedy, Not Another Porn Movie, is that more often than not neither sexy or funny. Released under Adam & Eve's new label, Independent Adult Cinema, the movie falls flat of its goals with a few exceptions.

The idea is to spoof porn shoots and how ridiculous they can be -- but instead of a clever script with a lot of inside jokes and a look at what our world is truly like, it's usually just corny antecdotes and some situations that would probably happen even on a mainstream shoot. The lack of comedy stems from the script's problems, really. The lack of chemistry between the actors, however, stems from whoever casted the thing.

Exceptions. The movie's final scene with Joanna Angel and James Deen is scorching! The intensity of their lust for each other comes across nicely on camera and there's so many positions that you lose count, not to mention some really exciting and innovative angles used to capture the penetration at its best.

Angel's choice of men actually is quite good -- James Deen and Tommy Pistol carry out every scene and do a damed good job at trying to get the most out of the girls. Angel must like the "punk rock chick" thing because they're all here: Pixie Pearl, Jade Jolie and January Darling along with the movie's lone un-tattooed and pierced girl, Pinky Lee. The dark makeup and smeared eye shadow isn't enough to make the girls look like they're falling asleep during their scenes for the most part.

But Joanna Angel certainly makes up for it the best she can when it comes to her own on screen sexing, both with Deen and in a girl/girl with January Darling.

If you get a chance, listen to the audio commentary. It's the most hilarious thing about the sex comedy. Whoever does the ridiculous, random, pointless rambling has got a real gift for comedy -- and for bullshiting ad nauseum.
