Caleb Carter Update
One of Caleb Carter's best friends, fellow porn star Brent Summers, along with Caleb's mother would like everyone to know that there will be a celebration of Caleb's life tonight held at The Brass Rail in San Diego between 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm.
There will be a viewing of Caleb's body and funeral service held in San Diego on Wednesday. Time and location will be announced here on this post in an update as soon as I have the information later today.
Caleb Carter, 24 years old, suffered from manic depression and alcoholism. He was currently in the process of being weened off of the drug Paxil. He was developing an immunity to the drug which, along with his alcohol abuse, was putting much stress on his liver.
Caleb Carter, according to police who described the scene upon their arrival, was found in his underwear, having hung himself in his closet. The suicide has been ruled intentional. Though no note was left, Caleb had told friends he had tried unsuccessfully earlier in the month but that the belt buckle had broke. There was an empty bottle of vodka on the scene and his music was playing.
UPDATE: The viewing and funeral service will be held at Preferred Cremation Burial, located at 6527 University Ave. in San Diego, CA. The viewing begins at 10:00 am and the service is at 1:00 pm.

This has really been bugging me. I want to be there for the funeral and share my memories of Caleb, but Brent is not fond of me and I moved to Dallas... so I cannot simply show up. Because of that, I will share my memories here. I refuse to keep calling him "Caleb", though, because that was just a persona. He has a real name and that is how I would like to remember him. I will not reveal his real name... so I will just call him "him", for the sake of his continued anonymity.
I knew him, worked with him. He lived in my house at one point and we were very good friends. We had a falling out once, but (and I confess it now) it was only for the media publicity. We would hate each other in public and giggle about it on the phone and AIM later that night.
We had a lot of good times. I still have an old video of him at Christmas, eating a giant plate cookies. Once the video started rolling, he started putting butter on the cookies and eating them. Then he would put the cookies on a slice of pizza and eat that. He made me laugh every time we got together. Once, he rode in the backseat of my car as I drove him home after a shoot. In the front seat was my drunk-off-his ass boyfriend who complained that I was driving too fast on the freeway (I was doing 15 because he was so drunk).
I have a million memories of him and to write them all here would fill a book. I hope that the pain of his passing also passes us. I have been thinking about him and if there were anything that I could have done to help him. The world is a much, much sadder place without him.

Jason - Very sorry for your loss. This was quite a shock to me as well.
