L.A. Dept. of Public Health Sees "No Compelling Interest" In Regulating Porn Industry

Gay Porn Times broke the news this morning that the L.A. County Deptartment of Public Health has responded to the AIDS HealthCare Foundation's recent complaints and lawsuits against porn studios for not mandating condom use.

The L.A. County Department of Public Health says it sees "no compelling public interest" in regulating the porn industry, as less than 0.01% of county residents perform in adult movies. To spend the department's money regulating such a small percentage of residents, apparently the department thinks its money could be put to much better use.

This official statement from the health department also does not bode well for the foundation's lawsuits against the porn companies.
