Weekend Update
Some notes from the weekend: - Erik Rhodes got some mainstream attention today! His fling/friendship/what-have-you with designer Marc Jacobs was written up this morning in Page Six of The New York Times. Rhodes has of coursed already responded in his blog saying the story has "no credible information" and has stated that he and Jacobs are just friends. Rhodes will, however, be attending Jacobs' show next week.
- Brent Corrigan fan blog, DeWayne in SD, was the first to showcase box cover and still photos from Corrigan's directorial debut, Summit, from Dirty Bird Pictures. Corrigan himself has since posted many more pics and a full write-up about the shoot in his own blog at BrentCorriganInc.com/Blog. I spoke with Dink Flamingo, producer of Dirty Bird's movies (a division of his Active Duty company) a few days ago and he tells me he was just as unhappy with the past material from Dirty Bird as the rest of us and believes Summit will turn things back to his original vision for the company, spotlighting gay porn stars who really know good sex by giving them a chance to direct. Next up after Corrigan will be Mason Wyler.
- Our new favorite, Jet Set Men exclusive, Aaron James, has been choosen as a Trophy Boy at the upcoming GayVN Awards. He was also featured in the magazine's prestigious "Fresh Off the Bus" column which you can catch a scanned copy of HERE. (Don't forget!: AJ's also coming to my Porn Star of the Week event at Here Lounge from 10 pm - 1 am on Wednesday, February 27th!)
- Mark Dalton's not going anywhere. He was denied parole and his next review isn't for another year! If you feel like becoming his pen pal, details are in the Weekly News section at ForestMen.com.
- My personal "Picks of the Month" for the JC Theatre and Curious Corner Store are now up in the frames directly to your right. We've also added a new Upcoming Events section to the frame. It's, um, over there... ------>

Okay you caught me this last week I had 3 Brent posts but THAT is unusual (He has been a busy boy) I will be back to the usual this week and AJAY wow I would LOVE to seem him on American Gladiator!

Sorry, Dewayne. I know you report on a lot more than Brent Corrigan and I didn't mean to offend you and hope I didn't. It's just that your site started as being a really big Brent rally place. And let's face it. You even post his own affiliate links to sites instead of your own so that he makes money off your site instead of you -- if that's not a Brent fan blog, I don't know what is! lol ;-) xo L, J.
I wonder if the directors who did all the movies for Dirty Bird know Dink's unhappy with them? Judging by the huge ass-kissing Mike Donner did in Jason's End of the Year Poll, I'm assuming not.
And if Dink's "vision" for Dirty Bird is to hand over the directing reins to murder suspects and bareback models in the hopes of getting a professional product (or the publicity therein), well, I suspect this "vision" is going to be fairly short-sighted.
