EON Films' "The Stone Age"

While producer/director Rocky Brown's work from his company, EON Films, has had a lukewarm reception thus far, I suspect all of that is about to change with his latest release, The Stone Age. Starring Eddie Stone as a caveman (his hot grunts during sex match the role naturally), it's high quality on a low budget reminiscent of cave-dweller B-movies like Eegah! from the 1960's. It's a great homage to such camp classics and it happens to have all the hottest sex scenes Brown has shot to date.

Kyle Aames and Cole Ryan get things started as a couple of scientists who make the discovery of Eddie Stone frozen in ice. They're so "turned on" by the idea of winning the Nobel Prize, they decide they have to get each other off before they can go any further with their studies. In white doctor's coats and glasses, the nerd look suits both of them to perfection and they've never looked hotter honestly. Aames tops Ryan and the two of them obviously have some great chemistry that makes for one hard-hitting fuck session.

A lot of the movie following that scene is done as a flashback. Suddenly, we see Eddie Stone's plight as a caveman being hunted for falling in love with fellow caveboy, Jesse Santana. It's hard to tell because there is no script -- they are cavemen, after all!, just a lot of grunting -- but apparently their love is against the laws of Stone's tribe, turning The Stone Age into time-warped, homo-erotic Romeo & Juliet.

There's a lot of hot scenes to look for during the chase. Trey Casteel banging the living hell out of Eddie Stone while Jesse Santana looks on (and sucks himself most impressively!) in a solo is definitely a keeper. Casteel tears up Stone's ass laying him flat on his back on a big rock with his legs up in the air.

Stone is known for his bottoming performances, but proves he's a decent top too in the next scene opposite Jorden Michaels. But it's the gorgeous Logan Robbins sticking it to Tory Mason that steals the limelight from this mini-orgy. Logan Robbins is an incredible performer we haven't seen enough of (or the last of I'm guessing) and the beautiful blonde bitch Tory Mason takes his cock like a champ.

The movie wraps with a flip-flop between Chase Matthews and Jamie Donovan -- a slightly above average scene with great chemistry -- followed by the grand finale where Stone finally fucks Santana. If they didn't fall in love just a little on the set, they're faking it well. It's a romantic scene, high on intensity, with Santana showing up Stone in the "bottom bitch" department. It might even be Stone's passing of the crown to this hot newcomer who seems to be taking the business by storm this year.

At the end of the movie, we cut back to the present day as Aames and Ryan are interrupted by a group of feds who have been given government authority to shut down their operation. One of the officers is Santana who, for a moment, is caught off guard by the sight of Stone frozen in ice and looks quizzically at the body, hinting at a possible reincarnation scenario.

As the door to their office shuts with an armed guard standing outside keeping watch, the camera backs off down a long narrow hallway and just as a janitor with a broom crosses by the lens (symbolizing the government's "clean up" of what they don't want the public to know) the movie ends. It's downright chilling in its subtlety.

The subject matter of the plot and subplot, flashback and present day, has a common thread: Authority figures repressing what frightens them -- from the heads of state to the head of the tribe, the song remains the same; the scary thing being we might still be living in the stone age. From homosexual prejudice to government conspiracy, the undertones of the movie are incredibly poignant considering the times we are living in and Brown manages to do all of it without hitting anyone over the head.

Above all else though, Rocky Brown has proven himself to be a master storyteller of the sex biz. Niche movies like the twink-driven Ashton's Eleven and parodies like Dicks of Hazzard were mediocre at best. But Brown finds his calling with The Stone Age as someone who can churn out great sex scenes with a message so subtle it's downright subliminal but so strong it might give you just as many chills as hard-ons.
