Poll of the Day: GayVN Hosts Drama

This is from one of our constant readers, JimmyVR, who explains in this response to our video blog exactly how it came to be that Derek & Romaine of the Sirius Sattelite Radio show are hosting The GayVN Awards this year.

As I mentioned in my last v-log installment, GayPornTimes.com broke the news last night that Derek & Romaine, along with Lady Bunny, will be hosting the show this year. I also mentioned there's a rumor that Kathy Griffin was pissed the GayVN's didn't invite her back so she decided to do a show on the same night across town at The Castro where the GayVN's were held last year. Well, NOW it seems there's another rumor floating around that it's actually The Castro that was pissed at The GayVN's for something involving how the show was handled behind the scenes last year and they're the ones who vowed to book Kathy on the same evening.

I can't give any of these rumors any merit other than to say Kathy is definitely performing at The Castro on the same night as The GayVN's. But these rumors are amusing to say the least. I was joking around in the v-log about going to see Kathy instead, but seriously folks... there's no way I won't be right there in the front row (I'll be at Jet Set's table actually, for those you going, look for me!) at The GayVN Awards, rooting on my friends and supporting Derek & Romaine and Lady Bunny for taking on the duties at the last minute. It's very cool of them to agree to it on such short notice and to give us a show this year.
