Note of Gratitude & Announcement

Dear Constant Reader(s),

I've implemented a new feature called Poll of the Day and I just wanted to thank you all for taking part in it. What has been so amazing to me is the wide variety of opinions out there. No answer to the polls is winning by a majority and that's pretty cool for me to know that my readership is not limited to type. It also gives me a little more encouragement as to your enjoyment and participation in my next endeavor. It may sound strange, but I am so much more interested in your opinions than I am in the "gossip" stories these days.

I wanted you to be the first to know before the PR goes out that as of next week, we will be bringing SIX NEW HOURS of live programming per week hosted by your's truly to JasonCurious.com via our KSEX feed and archives. My show, The Young & the Curious, one of the longest running and highest rated on the station, will be replaced with an all new format as The Jason Sechrest Show and available to our members LIVE from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm (PT) on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, rebroadcast from 10:00 pm - Midnight. We are also in the process of implementing an archive where all shows will be available immediately after airing.

My show will continue to bridge the gap between the straight and gay adult communities, featuring shows more tailored for straight audiences on Monday nights, gay audiences on Wednesday nights and a mix of "anything goes" on Fridays. This time, however, adult entertainment will only be one part of the equation, as we bring to the table everything from political debates to inner industry controversies with a wide variety of guests ranging from musicians and bloggers to astrologers and drag queens.

Most shows, even sex-based talk shows, are incredibly well-rounded and feature a wide variety of topics and guests. Next year, I will have been working as a reporter in adult entertainment for a decade. I'm 27, I'm growing up and I needed a new format for my show to reflect that. My interests have changed. You can't imagine how much I could care less about Jenna's food intake or what is up Lockwood's ass today. I refuse to devote three nights a week of my life or your's to talking about it. There's more going on in the world and there's no reason why a show can't be sexy and make you think at the same time. It's going to be hot. Trust me, you'll like having a little bread to go with all that butter some shows are force feeding.

The idea that beauty and brains has to be divided is not one of the fantasies our industry needs to perpetuate and KSEX is the perfect format for breaking out of that box. This show will be sexy and it will feature pornography, but it will also tackle controversial topics, it will talk about the state of the world and it will attempt to find solutions.

If someone wanted to just see porn, they would watch a porno! They would check out a movie in the JC Theatre or one of our "JC TV Live" archives, not watch a sex talk show.

The polls will be used as topics on the show and even if you're not a member, the live audio portion of the show will continue to be broadcast FREE at KSEX.com and I encourage you to take part by calling into 1-800-KSEX-RADIO and offering your own opinions. If you have ideas for topics or guests, please leave them in the comments section below.

In addition to The Jason Sechrest Show, instead of devoting more time to the site's monthly installments of Celebrity Uncensored and Adult Undercover, I'm going to be teaming with KSEX to offer another new show, Inside Studio X. I'll be donning my best James Lipton impression to chronicling the careers of adult's most iconic individuals. The monthly event will be a retrospective for the legends of adult entertainment, pre-taped featuring an extensive interview diving into the subject's career and personal life while showing lengthy hardcore clips from their award-winning titles and, of course, a questionnaire at the end each show. Ginger Lynn, who changed the face of the industry by becoming the first ever "contract girl" and went on to star in mainstream movies and have her own E! True Hollywood Story, is slated as the show's first guest.

Thanks for your continued support and for making this such a unique site. There was nothing like it out there when it started and now it has become "invasion of the blogs," so it's time to up the game a bit and take our news, gossip and "inside look" at the porn world live on a near nightly basis. I'm excited about being able to personally offer you six live hours of programming a week beginning next Monday and hope you'll all participate in the show.
