As you may have heard, Chad Donovan recently took a position (so to speak) over at Falcon Studios. Well, in the recent the absence of Chris Steele, it seems "big dick Donovan" as they're calling him around the office has already been promoted! His new title is Interim Director of Production and Editing with a likelihood of "interim" being removed after the 1st of the new year.
Donovan just wrapped on directing two new movies for Falcon, Longboard and Basic Plumbing 3. He was kind enough to take a few moments out of his busy schedule to answer 10 questions for JasonCurious.com! :-)
1. Why did you make the move from Studio 2000 to Falcon? I thought it was the best decision for me. It was time to move on and it was too good of an opportunity for me to pass up! I've always strived to be the best at what I do, so why not work with the best company?
2. What is the truth behind the rumors of Studio 2000's bankruptcy? I didn't know there was such a rumor, but if you've got the "T" please let me know.
3. How many movies of yours does Studio 2000 currently have in the can? I believe about 3 or 4.
4. What prompted you being promoted to Chris Steele's former position at Falcon? I don't really understand the question. However, I am very happy with the job I have. I've always been know to give 110%, so if that means stepping into a postion and stepping up to the plate, I have no problems doing that...
5. You're responsible for bringing one of the first "twinks" to the exclusivity roster at Falcon -- can we expect see more of that? Actually, Chris Steele brought Ashton Star to Falcon. However, if I think a model has great potential and can be a big star, I will sign them in a minute. Ashton Star is a great addition to Falcon.
6. What changes would you like to implement while working at Falcon? Right now, I'm still trying to get my feeling of my new position. However, I will bring my own unique style of directing, and hopefully many years of experience that I have already aquired. However, there is always something more a director can learn. So, I am open to learning as well.
7. What movies can we expect to see from you coming up? There are a lot of new and exciting things happening in the next calander year. We all just have to sit back and watch.
8. Any chance of you making a return to the cameras? I don't think I'll ever get back in front of the camera. I enjoy working behind the scenes better. Plus I'm getting too old!
9. How are you and your boyfriend doing these days? Did he move with you to SF? Antonio [Madiera] and I are still toghether after 7 wonderful years.. We are currently keeping 2 places. One in San Francisco and one in Los Angeles. We still see each other weekly, usually on the weekends. However, Antonio has a great job in LA, and I travel back and forth so much sometimes I forget where I am. Eventually, he will move up to SF with me. 10. How have you guys lasted so long? Honesty, Trust, and True Love!

So for all of the gossip over the drama-filled set and "poor working conditions" during the shooting of Eon Films'The Dicks of Hazzard, they sure did turn out one hell of a fuck flick! There's not many movies today that boast 8 full sex scenes without being a two parter or at the very least a two-disc set to make it more expensive. When it comes to sex scenes, Dick delivers!
Of course, some sex scenes are better than others. There's some romps like Brent Summers and Marc Sterling's opening scene or Caleb Carter and Adam Faust's roll in the hay that, while cute kids, seem so short and poorly shot they might have been better left on the cutting room floor. But where director Rocky Brown shines he shines bright enough to emanate real heat, like in the scene where Brant Moore gives the gorgeous power bottom Jayden Holloway (um - someone get me his number!) a good hard fucking he'll never forget or the ridiculously hot three-way with Alex Cross (also known as Drew Reeves), Mario Angel and Kyle Kensington where the performers are boiling over with chemistry. Brown lays it all on the table with these scenes and proves he's got what it takes as a movie maker in the gay XXX biz to churn out a good piece of product that is worth the buy.
The acting is worth not fast-forwarding through, as well. The storyline of this obvious parody piece is hilarious, but look especially for Caleb Carter's southern drawl as the local sherrif, all dressed in white. He's got acting chops on him! And his scene bottoming for Marc Sterling is also one to look for.
Also featured is the delicious Tyler Mason, completely miscast as a policeman -- looking like a 12 year old who has dressed up as a cop for Halloween. Oh well, at least he looks young as hell and gives up his hot hairless ass to Adam Faust in another one of the movie's better moments much in part due to Mason's performance.
Keep an eye out for Kyle Aames as well in the movie's final cast orgy -- that strangely is missing Caleb Carter?

"No personal details will be divulged and we will remain great friends but we will no longer continue as a couple," he says. "I am starting over after ending a six year relationship. Finding myself and re-prioritizing my life is paramount for me at this stage. I'm not looking for anything more than friends that I can learn from and grow with. For the first time in a long time, I have nothing holding me back and I look forward to finding out more about myself as I go along."
This is sad news to me. Alex told me a few months ago that they felt their year in porn had only enhanced their relationship. I hope it wasn't part of what led to their downfall.

The 15th feature film from Lucas Kazan Productions, The School for Lovers, boast an International cast: Italian, Czech, Venezuelan, Hungarian and Brazilian! And they're all freaking beautiful! Shot entirely on location in Southern Italy.
Like most of Kazan's movies, this one centers around infidelity. What couples will make it and which ones will be too tempted and end up cheating on each other? Martin Dejdar has the most gorgeous eyes I've ever seen in porn hands down. You know those crystal blue eyes that at times reflect just perfectly to look like pools of blue crystal? Well, with Dejdar it's not "at times," it's all times!
