Every year Wicked Pictures releases a sex comedy of epic proportions and last year's, released very late in 2007, ended up being their biggest one to date with a three-disc boxed set for Operation: Desert Stormy. Miami Studios' "Gay Twin Twink Porn: Twinks of the World"
The #1 reason to watch Miami Studios'Gay Twin Twink Porn: Twinks of the World is the final scene with rela life twins Alex Fisher and Alan Fisher taking turns banging newcomer Danny Brown. Archive of the Day: Jason's Directorial Debut, "My First Interracial"
So it's no secret that I was not very pleased with my directorial debut, My First Interracial, from Black Viking. I had a falling out with the producer before the movie went to the editing bay and was very unhappy with how it was pieced together. (For one thing, I'm in it WAY too much!)
But there's no denying that it certainly found its audience somewhere along the way. Besides the movie being nominated for a GayVN Award last year, I have always been amazed at how many emails a month I get from people saying this is one of their favorite pornos -- and now it has recently been added to our JC Theatre 1 in video on-demand and has become one of AEBN's Top 25 Most Watched movies in the past few weeks. Wow. Who'd have thunk?
So we're planning to relaunch our monthly guest columnists next month for the first time in over a year and I'm still looking for a few good porn writers to fill the Monday and Friday spots!

Full Circle: Brittany Coxxx's First Feature for Barresi
Brittany Coxxx (aka: The Artist Formerly Known as Stonie) is set for his, er -- her, first feature as a transsexual. As irony would have it, the movie will be directed by Paul Barresi for Pleasure Productions.

Adam & Eve's "Nina Hartley's Guide To The Perfect Orgy"

I also mentioned there's a rumor that Kathy Griffin was pissed the GayVN's didn't invite her back so she decided to do a show on the same night across town at The Castro where the GayVN's were held last year. Well, NOW it seems there's another rumor floating around that it's actually The Castro that was pissed at The GayVN's for something involving how the show was handled behind the scenes last year and they're the ones who vowed to book Kathy on the same evening.
I can't give any of these rumors any merit other than to say Kathy is definitely performing at The Castro on the same night as The GayVN's. But these rumors are amusing to say the least. I was joking around in the v-log about going to see Kathy instead, but seriously folks... there's no way I won't be right there in the front row (I'll be at Jet Set's table actually, for those you going, look for me!) at The GayVN Awards, rooting on my friends and supporting Derek & Romaine and Lady Bunny for taking on the duties at the last minute. It's very cool of them to agree to it on such short notice and to give us a show this year.

...why sometimes our reviews are of movies that came out a few months ago, it's usually because they just became available via video on-demand in our JC Theatre 1 or JC Theatre 2. In case you didn't know, DVD sales have plummeted in the past couple of years since VOD became huge and for us online bloggers, it's much more profitable for us to link our reviews to them than DVD sale sites.
However, the VOD companies themselves are taking a big chunk of the movie's profits, naturally. So some studios are reluctant to turn their movies over to VOD so quickly and prefer to wait up to six months! What sucks about this is that it gives online reviewers less incentive to review them because we also get a larger chunk of the payment from VOD than we do online retailers like our Curious Corner Store.
This is also why you see a lot of reviews here from Falcon Studios, Raging Stallion, Hot Desert Knights, Adam & Eve, Wicked Pictures and Evil Angel -- because they do NOT wait to give their movies to VOD and are usually somewhat simultaneous with the DVD's street date. Reviewing them so much is our thank you to them for that. ;-)
I hope the studios and the VOD companies can come to some sort of agreement soon that is a little more beneficial to everyone involved.
There's one particularly shocking moment in Hot House's movie Full Throttle, following one of the video's hottest scenes where Matt Cole fucks C.J. Knight in several different positions, all equally intense. Someone had the brilliant idea of pushing the envelope by having C.J.
