GayVN: Lucas, Corrigan Dispute Continues Off Stage

Oh what the hell, I can't stop myself!

GayVN gets the award for journalistic integrity as they have told exactly what went down behind the scenes of the ceremony and they've also talked to the San Francisco police as well as conducted exclusive interviews with Michael Lucas and Brent Corrigan.

It's a REALLY good article written by the legendary Mickey Skee. (Love him!)

Anyone watching the events at the GAYVN Awards show Saturday night may have noticed there was a continuing drama between Brent Corrigan and Michael Lucas as each took the stage at various times during the evening. The drama continued after the awards and into the next morning, involving the San Francisco Police Department.

It continues still in cyberspace.

To add clarity to the swirl of rumors and gossip:

No one was arrested, although the case is under investigation and charges may still be pending, according to a San Francisco police spokeswoman.

No one was hurt or beaten up.

No awards were changed or taken away by the GAYVN team.

Michael Lucas has been on a campaign against under-aged models for years, since at least 2005, when the Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection warned the gay adult industry that Corrigan admitted he forged his identification just before his 17th birthday and worked for Cobra Video before he was of a legal age. Corrigan testified under oath about the forged documents during the murder trial of Harlow Cuadra, who was convicted in March of killing Cobra owner Bryan Kocis.

At the GAYVN awards show rehearsals on Saturday afternoon, Lucas complained to the show producers and lead sponsor NakedSword chief executive officer Tim Valenti about Corrigan appearing on stage to present an award.

"I thought the controversy about Brent Corrigan had died down a while ago because he gave his big apology to the industry long ago, and said he was being influenced by others at a young age," GAYVN editor Harker Jones said. "But I did understand the protests."

Jones took the concern to Darren Roberts, CEO of GAYVN publisher AVN Media Network. Because AVN's policy has been to protect the industry from people who have hurt companies and the adult industry's reputation in the past, Roberts told Jones to remove Corrigan from the presenters list.

Jones informed both Corrigan and co-host Greg Sherrell, who made the change in the program. Nevertheless, Corrigan's name was called when it came time to present the awards he was scheduled to present.

"I wasn't sure what to do, so I just went on up," Corrigan told GAYVN.com.

Lucas, who was one of the night's Hall of Fame inductees, told GAYVN, "When I saw him up there, I was furious. I was outraged! I didn't think he should have even have been nominated, and he should not have been a presenter."

Corrigan's multiple nominations - including for Performer of the Year, Best Actor and Best Supporting Actor - were allowed to stand. By the end of the evening, Corrigan had been awarded Best Bottom. In addition, movies produced by his company Prodigy Pictures picked up awards: Just the Sex 1 and 2 together were named Best Twink Film, and the Best Pro/Am Feature award went to Brent Corrigan's Summit (co-produced with Dirty Bird Pictures.

"We always want to keep the integrity of the awards above board and without reproach," Jones said.

After ASACP executive director Joan Irvine spoke about the adult industry fighting against child pornography, Lucas took the stage without warning.

"Shame on the judges who nominated and awarded Brent Corrigan," he told the audience. "On a night we honor ASACP, there should be no forgiveness for the companies and individuals who put the industry in danger by supporting this."

Later, he told GAYVN.com, "People said that I did that for publicity, but I have to tell you that every time I speak out like that I lose customers. It doesn't help me to speak out like that and have people boo at you and face this hostility."

Lucas also said fellow porn stars told him to "watch his back," but he didn't feel threatened ... until later, at a post-party just outside the VIP room, when Corrigan's boyfriend bumped into him.

"I said, ‘Excuse me?' because I didn't know who this was," Lucas told GAYVN.com. "Then, he started calling me names. He called me a ‘fucking pussy' and said ‘You have a horse face.' And then Brent Corrigan came up and security came up and just told us to stay away from each other.

"I could see the veins on [Corrigan's] neck pulsing. He was angry, and then the boyfriend said, ‘I will fucking kill you' and said he would throw acid on my face and ruin my career."

Lucas said that's when he left the club and called his lawyer, then the police. He said the San Francisco Police took a complaint, but because Corrigan and his boyfriend were partying somewhere in the city, there was little the police could do right then.

"We were out partying because I was very happy to win something, so we were out late, but I didn't think anything of what happened earlier," Corrigan told GAYVN.com. "I didn't hear any threats, except that Michael Lucas said he would ‘haunt us until I was out of the industry.'"

Lucas told GAYVN.com he couldn't sleep that night and called police again at 6:45 a.m. Sunday morning. Officers rousted Corrigan and his boyfriend shortly afterward.

"We were in bed naked and we just fell asleep," Corrigan said. "First the phone rang, and then police came in and handcuffed my boyfriend. I couldn't believe what was happening."

Lucas stood outside the hotel door and identified both Corrigan and his boyfriend, Corrigan and Lucas told GAYVN.com. Police took statements from all sides and provided a case number to all parties. On Monday, a San Francisco police spokeswoman said it is possible the complaint will go to the district attorney's office, but she could not confirm whether any further action would be taken.

On Monday, Corrigan defined the incident as jealous retaliation.

"Michael Lucas could not stand to walk away from the awards with just one accolade, he had to pull tricks and play the bitter card to make it all about him," Corrigan wrote on his blog.

Corrigan, now 22, said he thinks men 18-21 are "too young to get into this business." He said he now advises young men and studios not to make decisions before everyone understands potential ramifications. He told GAYVN.com he regretted doing bareback films and won't do them anymore.

Meanwhile, Lucas published his account on his blog, as well.

"I don't care what he is saying now," Lucas told GAYVN.com. "From a producer's standpoint, it is my biggest nightmare to have someone forge documents like he did, and he shouldn't be accepted into the industry. He wasn't forced into [performing underage] like slavery, and what he says now is like a man saying to a girl, ‘I love you' while he is raping her.

"Now Brent Corrigan is 22 and old enough to be responsible and be careful about the people he is hanging around with, and he shouldn't be around violent people," Lucas added. "There is no point of forgiveness for him for what he has done. The adult industry has a terrible reputation, and it is things like he did that makes it worse and gives people a reason to attack us all."

Brent & Michael: A Final Word

It seems Michael Lucas has published yet another "press release" and at this point, I am so sick of the story I could vomit.

This one includes the quote from Tory Mason that was meant for my blog -- not to be published in a press release by Lucas Entertainment -- as well as Tory Mason's cell phone number, which he had NO RIGHT to publish whatsoever.

Thank God the phone number he published for me was my office line.

Neither of us gave him permission to post those phone numbers.

Listen, I thought Michael had some very good intentions and valid concerns. I have also always thought Brent Corrigan is an AMAZING performer, a great writer and I want his jacket. And though I most certainly have heard many stories of Corrigan's boyfriend being prone to violent outbursts, I have made it clear in my reports that these are things I have heard and been told, not witnessed first hand. The guy could be an absolute marshmallow!

That said, I adore them both equally, but unless anything new comes to light, I am done blogging about this.

The Sword Weighs In With A Brent vs. Michael Timeline (And I Want That Fucking Jacket!)

The Sword has weighed in on the Michael Lucas vs. Brent Corrigan (pictured here with Grant Roy and Paul) dramz, piecing together what they saw with the statements of Corrigan and Lucas.

It's nothing new, but it's good clean fun and worth a look! Check it out here.

On another note, I want the jacket Brent Corrigan wore to the awards! Fuck the "Every Poolboy's Dream" backpack on auction at BrentCorriganInc.com. I'll Pay Pal his ass right now for that fuckin' fierce jacket!

Sister Roma Asks Mason Wyler About The Rape Incident

YES, she went there!!!

We've always loved that Sister Roma's interviews are more dirty fun than hard-hitting, but here she pulls a little surprise and full on asks Mason Wyler if he's "a genius or just really fucked up" and grills him about his highly touted rape incident!

Wyler's response seems genuine and sincere too. (As we suspected and reported back when the incident occured.)

Loving this clip from TheSword.com and can't wait to see the rest!

Brent Corrigan Responds

One thing I love about Brent Corrigan. He doesn't need to return my calls. Or anyone's for that matter. If he wants to make a statement, he can do it on his own. Perhaps that's the sign of someone who was so NOT in control of their career in the beginning that now he wishes to control every aspect of it from producing to directing to making sure his own statements are not misconstrued by a member of the press. Interestingly enough, in his statement this morning, he touches on the subject of his past and makes plans to do more of the same in the coming days.

It has been a stressful and harrowing long few years. Possibly for the first time ever since starting work within this industry I have been able to shed feelings of inadequacy. Decisions I made in my past have inspired studios, models, producers – and well, lets face it, at times; the whole industry to completely turn it’s back on me.

There is nothing worse in life than feeling like an outcast. To be shunned and stripped of all dignity and worth; deemed reprehensible because you were misguided into an unsafe and detrimental situation that you were unprepared to make wise and informed decisions.

In what was an otherwise wonderful evening there was some negativity directed at me from Michael Lucas. While unprovoked, his attempts to thwart a special evening for me were unsuccessful. Without warrant or invite, ML forced himself onto the stage and to the mic during a transitional moment during the show’s proceedings. Bitterly and maliciously, he made this statement:

“Shame on the judges who nominated and awarded Corrigan. On a night we honor ASACP there should be no forgiveness for the company’s and individuals who put the industry in danger by supporting this . . .”

I can’t recall exactly which derogatory terms he used, but it was harsh and aimed to hurt. The boos and applause drown it out on the live feed. More boos were heard than clapping though ;-)

I’ve been called many things over the years. I learned to accept early on that this comes with the territory of living in the public eye. Living my life openly and honestly as a public figure also means people have and always will target me. Saturday evening at the GayVN Awards, Michael Lucas used me as a personal pawn in his game of publicity foul play. He has a running track record to these theatrics and stunts.

Mr. Lucas’ account of the evening in his blog is one long string of fallacies.
He reported that the next my boyfriend was taken into custody after threatening ML at the after party.

No one was arrested, and no one was threatened with any sort of bodily harm. Michael Lucas did say to my boyfriend, however, that he would “never, ever stop harassing your boyfriend!”

Later in the evening after the show, at the after party, Michael Lucas put himself between my boyfriend and me and the exit of the club. We were on our way home. He forced his body into Paul (my boyfriend of almost one year) and stepped on his toes and shoes. Michael immediately was hostile and a shouting match began. Paul requested the aid of two security officials of the venue. A warning was issued to Michael Lucas. The club was loud, there were many people around but words could not easily be heard over the noise unless you were within inches of the incident like I was. Despite this and what lies have been told, no threats of bodily harm or death were made ever to Michael Lucas. Names were called and threats of social ruin and disdain were made.

Paul and I woke the following morning at 8 AM with several police officers at our bedside. Paul was cuffed and taken out into the hallway so he could be questioned separately from me. Paul is 6 foot, 200 + pounds. There was no resist or hostility from either parties; the cuffs were used as a precaution based on the misleading statements ML had previously made to the authorities.

This occurred because Michael Lucas’ pride and ego was brutally wounded when he was booed and the bulk of the GayVN patrons expressed distaste for his uninvited ranting on stage at the event. Michael filed false statements of a serious nature to use the San Francisco Police force as a pawn in his charade. Are you seeing the trend here?

This was done to humiliate and dehumanize me and those who care and look after me. I have people in my life who care about me and who stand by me; when necessary they defend me. I am as proud of them as they are of me.

Once Michael’s history, motives and his outcry on stage were all brought to light to the authorities; Paul was released from his cuffs and we gave our written statements. The police were very fair and even sided. They were polite and quickly drew the correct conclusions. They departed after a little over an hour of discussion. Together Paul and I returned to bed to sleep the morning away.

Michael Lucas could not stand to walk away from the awards with just one accolade. He had to pull tricks and play the bitter card to make it all about him. But at what cost?
Anything Michael Lucas has to recite says more about him than me. If he wants to go on with his fabrications of hate and theatrics, I will have no part in it. He, or anyone else, can only take from me what I allow them to have.

In the last few years I have been called things that would make most people give up on themselves. I have apologized and made arrangements in the past to do what I could to set right what was so very wrong about my underage work. Later this week, I intend to republish and reiterate the circumstances surrounding my premature entrance into the adult industry.

With so much attention once again called to this issue, it is my belief that once and for all I might be able to close the book on that part of my life. I do have thoughts and strong convictions about the legal age of models working within the adult industry and I look forward to sharing.

Thank you to all of you who have supported my work and found it within your hearts to forgive the mistakes I made as a boy. I look forward to sharing pictures from the weekend! I’m still awaiting replies from some of the photographers.

Kid can write! That's for day-um sure.

I suspect we'll hear from Lucas on his own blog later today.

Jason Pitt: "Gorgeous Boy of the Day"

I am LOVING the new blog GorgeousBoys.com and THEY are loving Jason Pitt today as they've officially made him their "Gorgeous Boy of the Day" with a mini-bio and photo gallery.

Gorgeous Boys declares him "the newest boy next door" porn superstar!

"Cocktails" Returns April 16th

Micky's in West Hollywood is set to reopen their doors any day now and they will be bringing back their weekly happy hour porn event, "Cocktails with the Stars," on Thursday, April 16th from 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm with hosts Scott Boardman and Angel Benton.

"Cocktails" is one of the oldest and longest-running gay porn institutions in West Hollywood nightlife. They were supporting and promoting the pornsters long before other clubs and venues were devoting entire evenings to them. I was either the third or fourth host of the event I think from 2002 - 2006.

I'm looking very forward to seeing what they bring us in 2009 and can't wait to see the old gang at the re-open!

An Evening's War Between Michael Lucas & Brent Corrigan

Michael Lucas tells me that following his report filed with the San Francisco police department last night against Brent Corrigan's boyfriend for assaulting him and threatening his life, Brent Corrigan's boyfriend was taken into custody early this morning.

Lucas and Corrigan were staying at the same hotel.

"I was asked to come downstairs," said Lucas, who was staying in the same hotel as Corrigan. "They had him in handcuffs and asked me to identify him."

Earlier in the evening, Lucas had talked to GayVN producers about banning Corrigan from appearing on stage as a presenter. Lucas felt that glorifying someone who "tricked" the industry by working underage in the same event where they were awarding an advocate against child pornography was hypocritical and lent a bad name to the show and adult entertainment.

Lucas tells me GayVN producers agreed with him and told Corrigan he would not be allowed to appear on stage as a presenter.

"They forgot to change the cards though," says Lucas. "So when Brent was announced, he walked up and said that he wasn't supposed to be there at all, that there was some type of confusion, but went ahead since his name had been called."

Lucas bum rushed the stage at one point in the show, taking the mike to express his disgust in the situation and told the judges they should be ashamed for promoting a once underage porn star. Hours later at an after party, Lucas claims Corrigan's boyfriend hit him, threatened his life and told him he would splash acid in his face to end his career. Lucas called the police and filed a report, all of this leading up to Corrigan's boyfriend being handcuffed this morning.

Lucas insisted to me in our phone conversation late this morning that this is no stunt.

"I am a producer and I am not interested in going to jail no matter how cute someone is," says Lucas. "We are setting a precedent by forgiving him and celebrating him that others can work underage and we will embrace them. This is not a personal agenda and if I wanted attention, believe me I know how to get it and this is not the way."

Still, Lucas is known for petulant behavior around this time of year. Remember the ice throwing incident at GayVN Awards past?

On the other hand, I will say that Brent's boyfriend has been accused previously of being prone to violent rages. Shortly after Corrigan hooked up with the new beau, a gay porn performer who also resided in San Diego once appeared with a black eye at one of my events claiming it was the work of Brent Corrigan's new man. Rumors have also circulated for some time now that he once tried to run over Corrigan's ex-boyfriend, Grant Roy, with his truck.

Corrigan has not returned phone calls for comment, but a source close to him says that Lucas has blown this entire incident out of proportion, that Corrigan's boyfriend has not been arrested, the two have gone back to bed and that an official statement will be made later today.

It's unfortunate for Corrigan that his evening had to end on such a sour note. He was one of the most awarded performers of the evening at The 2009 GayVN Awards, taking home trophies for Best Bottom, Best Pro-Am Film for "Brent Corrigan's Summit" (a special edition Director's Cut of which was recently released) and Best Twink Film for "Just the Sex 1" & "Just the Sex 2" both from his own company, Prodigy Pictures.

Regardless of Lucas's disdain for embracing a once underage performer, it seems undeniable that the industry has indeed forgiven and embraced him.

Corrigan is set to co-host The 2009 Grabby Awards in Chicago over Memorial Day Weekend.

UPDATE: There's been some talk in the comments section that Michael Lucas once contacted Brent Corrigan to work for him and was turned down, which some readers seem to feel would challenge the validity of his contention that the industry should not continue to support or embrace Corrigan. When I asked Lucas about this, he replied, "This is crazy! I have no memory of that. If he has any proof of me contacting him about working for me, I'd like to see him publish it."

Meanwhile, Brent Corrigan has made no comment as of yet other than to say says Lucas has blown the entire thing out of proportion in his blog at BrentCorriganInc.com.

Michael Lucas Has Called The Police on Brent Corrigan's Boyfriend!

I received an email from Michael Lucas at 4:30 am that he has filed a police report and plans to get a restraining order against Brent Corrigan's boyfriend following an ugly incident at an after party.

"He threatened my life at the after party," Lucas tells me. "He hit me and told me he would splash acid in my face. Police took a report and I am filing a restraining order. I should be able to speak my mind without being threatened. His boyfriend is crazy."

UPDATE: Just so there's no confusion, remember Brent's boyfriend is no longer Grant Roy. This is the new one. The Latin looking one.

Lucas Calls Out Corrigan For Child Porn at GayVN's

I have received over a dozen texts in the last few hours that following a Castro District Representative giving a big award to a major advocate against child pornography, Michael Lucas bum rushed the stage and said, "Shame on you!" to all the GayVN Awards judges who nominated Brent Corrigan so many times over this weekend, claiming his disgust in the hypocrisy that they would glorify both an advocate against child pornography and someone who knowingly performed in pornography before the age of 18 in the same ceremony! Lucas made it clear he was of the opinion that Corrigan "jeopardized our industry." According to J.C. Adams report, "The show was brought to a screeching halt. Some in the crowd began to boo and catcall, while others applauded."

Margaret Cho, Janice Dickinson, Alec Mapa hosting... and still, Michael Lucas is the only moment in the show anyone seems to be talking about.

Corrigan shouldn't care less, as he had the last laugh as one one of the most awarded performers of the evening along with performer Ricky Sinz and studio Raging Stallion for their epic, "To The Last Man."

A personal congratulations to ALL of the evening's winners!

I've got the first pics from Jet Set Men's "Tackle," directed by Chris Steele, who is to be inducted into the GayVN Hall of Fame at this weekend's ceremony in San Francisco.

Featuring Benjamin Bradley's first scene since finishing his Channel 1 Releasing contract, Josh Griffin's Jet Set debut and Jesse Santana's first scene for the studio in nearly a year, "Tackle," is hands down going to be the most anticipated movie from the studio so far this year!

"Tackle," a movie about quarterback rivals, is currently in post production and is slated to be released around the same time football season begins.

The movie also stars Adam Campbell, Marcus Steele, Luke Cassidy, Blu Kennedy and David Dakota.
