Brodie Sinclair Sets The Record "Straight"

Things are getting ugly between Brodie Sinclair and Raging Stallion Studios. First the rumors spread that the studio let him out of his 10-picture contract quite shortly after it was signed, but now Brodie is talking back about the real reason why he left!

I, for one, was surprised to hear the studio had even signed Sinclair, since he has professed to be straight in past interviews and Raging Stallion has vowed to not hire any "gay for pay" performers. Just Us Boys quotes Raging Stallion exclusive Steve Cruz as saying, "Brodie is totally straight. So straight, in fact, I question his motivation in our industry. I tend to resent gay for pay because as a performer you tend to feel exploited. Yes, he was let go."

But as of a few minutes ago, I received a statement from Brodie Sinclair himself, attempting to set the record straight.

Ahem, so to speak.

"I have become the totally innocent victim of a smear campaign of down and dirty lies launched by Chris Ward, owner of Raging Stallion Studios," Sinclair tells me. "Along the way, others, such as Ricky Sinz, have gotten in on the nasty act. But I want to take this chance to set the record straight on what happened between me and Mr. Ward."

Do tell, Bro! Right?

"I participated under contract as a studio exclusive in Raging Stallion's film Grunts, which Mr. Ward is billing as 'the most expensive all male erotic movie ever made.' Promises were made to me and then not kept. I was told I would be given my own website, but I was not. I was told I would be paid more money than I wound up being paid. Worst of all, the working conditions on this set were like something you'd expect to find in a Mother Theresa charity orphanage in India. During the period of the filming, we were expected to live in tents full of bugs and flies. There was no catering. Actors had to go to stores to buy food and then cook meals on their own."

Whoa. So much for the glamorous porn life, eh Brodie?

He continues: "During the Grunts shoot, we would begin early in the morning and then be kept up working until 1 and 2 in the morning like a herd of cattle. Who can perform at their best in this industry or in any industry when only getting four hours of sleep per night?"

Yeah, don't talk to me or my friend Angel Benton about that. It's rough, but if Mariah can do it, so can we, Brodie. Just a quick nap in the hosptial now and then and you're good as new!

"Mr. Ward told me to just suck it up and shoot my dick up with a needle. Sorry, I don't go that route. If I have to stick a needle in my dick to get hard, then I'm in the wrong business. I don't care if Ricky Sinz does use Caverject to get a hard on! And the terrible, worse than third world conditions! I don't get what Mr. Ward is spending so much money on in this production, because tents don't cost multiple hundreds of thousands. It's not as if he gave us the best tents available, either. So in the middle of filming, I told Mr. Ward that I wanted out of Grunts, and out of my contract with Raging Stallion altogether. I wasn't being given what I had been promised, and nobody in their right mind would continue under those circumstances. Grunts is a reference to soldiers, but I think if you treated real soldiers that way, it would practically be a violation of the Geneva Conventions. Mr. Ward didn't want to lose me for the rest of the film, so begged me to stay, and promised me that my pay would be increased. I agreed to remain on set, but in the end Mr. Ward did not pay what he had promised me. So I went to him and said that I would not work for him any longer. That is when he began his campaign of filthy dirty down-low shameless lies, smearing my good name. I was absolutely shocked to see Mr. Ward's statements published online saying that he had "fired" me because of what he alleges to be 'diva' behavior."

Actually, I am not sure Chris Ward ever said that. He might have! But as far as I know, Brodie's being fired was just a rumor on other sites that began circulating rapidly.

Regardless, Brodie wants it clarified, "I was not 'fired,' I quit! I am a nice, honest guy and a thoroughly professional performer. I'm on time, ready to work, and when I work, I work very, very well. That is why Mr. Ward chose me to work for him on Grunts in the first place. I had worked for Raging Stallion previously, so where do they get off now, accusing me of being a 'diva'?"

Again, I'm not sure they are. But maybe so! (Anyone with clarification to that, feel free to post in the comments section below and I'll add an addendum to this post. In fact, I'm sure Chris Ward will have something to say so keep checking back on this one for updates.)

"That is just another one of Chris Ward's outrageous, unfounded, ridiculous lies that are going around. I previously have had great experiences in the porn biz, but now it is showing me its ugly side. The owner of Raging Stallion is fabricating total lies about me, for no justifiable reason. Yeah, I left the company because it failed to deliver on its promises to me. Is that a reason to drag my good name through the mud?"

And what about his sexuality? Is he straight? Is he "comfortable?" What's the dealio?

"Among the reasons Mr. Ward gives for supposedly firing me is that I am 'straight.' I have never said that I am straight. And I refuse to be straight-jacketed in anybody else's definition of my sexuality. I love sex, period, whether with men or women. I could care less what anybody else thinks of my sexuality. And as if my allegedly being 'straight' had ever been a problem for Raging Stallion Studios when they were so desperately trying to get me to sign their contract and then so desperately trying to keep me under contract, even though they were giving me insultingly substandard work conditions. I am absolutely not interest in working for a company that has no decency and no honesty. Raging Stallion invents ludicrous lies out of the blue, and I refuse to be a part of it."

Well, one lie at least.

Ward stated over the weekend, "As of today, Raging Stallion has no straight actors under contract, nor do we have plans to work with any."

Yet, there's straight male porn star, Ricky "The Hammer" Sinz, still gettin' it on for ya with his Caverject.

Maybe bisexuals don't count.

Archive of the Day: Gay Erotic Expo N.Y.

I get nostalgic around this time of year and tend to see where I was a year ago.

Personally, as my "Diary" readers will know, I was recovering from a really bad break up, bleaching my hair and apparently from the looks of these photos, eating every thing in sight. Readers of the "News Desk" here (that's what you're reading, by the way) might remember it better as the week I headed to New York to host The Gay Erotic Expo.

I had a blast hosting the show, especially when it came to hanging out with people like Michael Lucas, Jonathan Vargas and Chad Leigh, getting to know them all better -- but it's the behind the scenes fun with my friends from RentBoy.com that caught the attention of our reader's the most.

From video footage of Brandon Baker and I wrestling to tales beneath the Christmas tree in Time Square, from laughing over spilled milk to making out with Chad Leigh, I wrote one fierce timeline for that event and it was probably one of my fondest memories of the year.

I have Brandon to thank for that, including me as part of his posse for that trip.

I miss Brandon. This is the longest I've gone without seeing him all year actually. And it's probably a little weird that I even know that. What am I? Counting the days?
